Decorah United Soccer Club (DUSC) is an organization supporting youth soccer in Decorah, Iowa. DUSC is an affiliate member of the Southwest District League. During the spring we are a traveling recreational soccer club for youth ages 8-14 years old. We host games in Decorah and travel to cities such as La Crosse, La Crescent, Caledonia, Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, Sparta, Melrose, Mauston and Tomah. In the fall we provide several weeks of local soccer instruction and games with the Northeast Iowa Soccer League for boys and girls in 2nd-8th grade.
DUSC is a recreational soccer league inviting players of all abilities to participate. There are no try-outs or cuts and every player gets equal playing time. Players are expected to attend all practices and games and conduct themselves in a positive manner at all times, both on and off the field.

The Luther College Professional Coaches will introduce themselves and will explain their coaching curriculum, identify their coaching staff, and go over the expectations for player behavior. After their presentation, the DUSC Board will share some important information about the season and will also be available to answer your questions. If you have agreed to be a Team Parent or a Volunteer Coach this year, there will be another brief meeting for you to attend after the large group parent meeting.
DUSC Gear Store - Open 3:30-6:00pm We will be selling some really cool DUSC Gear this year! We have a whole NEW inventory of awesome blankets, hats, mittens, sweatshirts, soccer pants, long sleeve t-shirts, and cool new Adidas warm up jackets! The store will open at 3:30pm and will remain open until 6:00pm (we will be closed during the Parent Meeting).
Soccer Swap - Open 3:30-6:00pm If you have outgrown soccer equipment that still has some life left in it, (cleats, shin guards, soccer balls, etc.) bring it to the Soccer Swap so that it can be recycled and put to good use by someone else. All donated items can be purchased for a free will donation and all proceeds will go towards the DUSC scholarship fund. What to Wear & Bring The clinic will be indoors so players should wear indoor tennis shoes (no cleats), shin guards, athletic shorts and a t-shirt. All players need to bring a properly inflated soccer ball and a full water bottle, both labeled with the player's first and last name.
All certified referees (both new and old) who plan to ref DUSC games this spring are required to attend a Referee Clinic before the Kick Off Clinic on Sunday, March 29, 2015. The referee clinic will go over expectations, rules, procedures, and other helpful things. The clinic will go from 2:45-3:45pm and will be held in a classroom in the Regents Center at Luther. Please contact Jill Marquardt with questions.
The spring 2015 season will begin with a Kick-Off Clinic on Sunday, March 29 from 4:00-5:30pm at the Luther College Regents Center. Practices will be held every Monday and Thursday evening after that from 6:00-7:30pm at Will Baker Park in Decorah. Games will be played on Saturdays and Sundays at various times and in various locations. The season will conclude with the Honda Motorwerks Tournament in LaCrosse, WI on May 29-31, 2015.
DUSC is fortunate to have men and women from the Luther College soccer teams coaching the majority of our spring teams. The spring program will be managed and overseen by the Professional Luther College Soccer Coaching Staff and the DUSC Board.
